New full service agency catering for eyewear brands has begun trading with a launch event in Shoreditch recently.
The Twenty20 agency was founded by brothers Rufus and Simon Abbott. Rufus Abbot recently spent time working for Eye Respect and said he began his career in fashion PR working for Marcolin.
‘I met people working for eyewear companies and quickly realised that needed they needed to outsource three different services – representation in both fashion and optical channels, along with PR coverage,’ he said.
The company represents a broad range of niche eyewear brands, including Shwood, Thierry Lasry, Emmanuelle Khahn and online supplier Archibald Optics. Abbott said the services offered to each client varied on their individual requirements. Services include, wholesale and distribution, social media management and PR. Distribution clients include Schwood and Established Eyewear.
One of the company’s key agreements is for the distribution of eyewear collections from rock amplifier manufacturer Marshall. The company said it was planning a major marketing push for the brand in 2015 and intended to focus on the forthcoming music festival market.
