New era for Cheltenham practice

Optician Award-winning family opticians, Keith Holland & Associates in Cheltenham, has been purchased by optometrist Dermot Keogh.

Keogh, who was assisted with a ‘six-figure’ funding package by Clydesdale Bank, has made the move to own his first independent practice after spending 15 years as franchisee of Vision Express in Gloucester.

The practice was opened in 1989 by husband and wife, Keith and Clare Holland. Clare said she had decided to sell the business following the passing of Keith in 2014, but would continue working two days a week as a local optometrist to ensure a smooth transition for staff and patients. The clinic currently has 14 members of staff and Keogh said he was looking to continue growing the business.
