Renowned as a style icon and inspiration to spectacle wearers nationwide, Hambleton-Jones was the natural choice to front the brand's national promotional campaign, the company said.

The campaign, which highlights the importance of regular eye care, begins this month with the launch of Hambleton-Jones's own Specs Appeal Guide. The guide, distributed at selected opticians, is designed to match spectacles with lifestyles. It contains a glossary of the lenses available and their benefits.

Hambleton-Jones will promote the brand and the importance of good eye care on radio, the web and TV throughout 2007. Research commissioned by Transitions shows that four out of five UK consumers leave the choice of their lens to the optician.
