New hand wash range has practice benefits

Positive Impact has been appointed the exclusive optical distributor for anti-microbial hand wash and hand sanitiser Ecohydra.

The hand wash was said to be a more effective alternative to liquid soap - providing a wet method for washing and disinfecting the hands and arms suitable for consulting room use.

The key active ingredient is 0.1 per cent Benzalkonium Chloride which kills up to 99.99 per cent of most commonly occurring bacteria and norovirus within 15-30 seconds. It also remains active and effective against microorganisms for four hours after drying. It is compliant with international hand hygiene protocols, the 2013 EU Biocidal Products regulations and has been approved by the NHS for use in hospitals.
