New home for Optician as sale to MAG agreed

Optician has now moved to its new office in Herne Hill, London following its acquisition by MA Healthcare.

Following its intention to acquire Optician from Reed Business Information last month MA Healthcare, part of the Mark Allen Group, has now completed the acquisition of the Optician brand, which includes working with the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians to stage the Optrafair exhibition.

Optician editor and associate publisher, Chris Bennett, said the move offered exciting possibilities for Optician and its related products. ‘Being part of a dedicated health publishing house will allow Optician to build on its editorial strengths and move faster in bringing new ideas to its readers and advertisers,’ he said.
