High-tech innovations that can help people with sight loss were displayed at a two-day event in Glasgow organised by RNIB Scotland this week.
Visitors attending the TechShare event at the Glasgow Science Centre saw the RNIB’s own ‘smart glasses’ which maximise remaining vision, shoes with vibrating sensors that guide wearers and the Peek portable eye-screening kit.
Speakers from technology giants such as Apple, Google and Microsoft also discussed how they could enhance the accessibility of their products.
