New voice for technicians

Optician is ramping up its coverage for optical technicians with a new blogger, a new column and more technical coverage.

The Spectacle Maker will write the first posts to his blog on the optical technician section - http://www.opticianonline.net/landing-pages/optical-technicians/ - of the website this week.

Technical topics surrounding lens and frame products and manufacture of particular interest to those on the manufacturing side of the optical business will follow early next year.

The Spectacle Maker will also be looking to offer insights, for those in practice, into getting the best from their lab. Optician will also recruit two new columnists in the coming months, one of which will take a look at the profession from the perspective of spectacle manufacture.
