NHS Bill goes to Committee

The Health and Social Care Bill has moved on to Committee stage with the first day set for October 25.

The Bill was moved on following its second reading in the Lords last week amid widespread protests against NHS reform. During the reading Lord Low raised the issue of eye care and backed the inclusion of an ophthalmic public health indicator in the final framework.
