Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) and Birmingham Sight Loss Council (SLC), has launched an initiative to improve accessibility for blind and partially sighted patients.
The project focused on personalised care, including by introducing a section in clinical records for reasonable adjustments and communication preferences.

The initiative also addressed practical challenges, such as guiding patients through physical spaces and enhancing the accessibility of online services.
