VISION 2020 UK chair Nick Astbury has announced he will be stepping down this September following seven years in the role.
He had made the decision to enable him time to focus on his work at the International Centre for Eye Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a statement confirmed.
Astbury said: ‘It has been a privilege to be chairman of such an ambitious and forward thinking organisation. I believe VISION 2020 UK has enabled the sector to work together in an innovative and effective way and I am proud of all it has achieved to date.
