Nick Loan, managing director at Bausch & Lomb UK until last month has moved to UltraVision CLPL, recent recipients of the innovation prize for the Queen's Award for Enterprise.
Loan will take up the role of managing director at the Leighton Buzzard-based firm, which develops leading edge technology to produce a wide range of soft disposable, durable and RGP contact lenses using both cast-moulded and the latest in lathe cutting systems.
Loan became MD at Bausch & Lomb in 1996 after being managing director of Madden & Layman Contact Lens.
‘It has been a privilege to have worked for Bausch & Lomb and serve the company,’ said Loan. ‘However, now is a good time for change. Ultravision CLPL has been on my radar for some time, in particular when it recently received the Queen's Award for Enterprise; Innovation 2006. I am very excited to be joining this dynamic company with very strong plans for growth.’
