Norville Opticians' Thornbury practice has moved to a new location in the middle of town and is already seeing an increase in patients as a result.
Norville opened its new premises, in Horseshoe Lane, opposite the Gloucestershire town's Safeway supermarket, at the end of June. Dispensing optician Barry Stygall, who manages the practice, says Norville wanted to move for a better location and to be able to offer a practice on one level. The move has enabled Norville, which has a total of 10 practices in the country, to display its complete range of spectacles and sunglasses. It is now able to offer a separate area where children can select their own frames and a play area to keep them occupied while they wait. The new practice also has a second consulting room for use during busy sessions. 'It made sense to move. We have already seen an increase in business,' says Mr Stygall.
