Nuesser takes retail expertise to Mondottica

Former Vision Express UK chief executive Bernhard Nuesser has joined frame firm Mondottica International as a new investor and CEO.

Nuesser, a Swiss resident, assumes the newly created role and will report to company chairman Michael Jardine.

He will be based between Mondottica's main offices in Hong Kong and Nottingham and has purchased a substantial minority interest that will result in an equity increase in the company.

Nuesser's most recent role was as CEO of the Bata Shoe Group in Europe, and prior to five years at VE in the UK he oversaw Grand Vision Group's international optical brand in 10 European and South American markets.
