Optical assistant at Black & Lizars is awarded Spectacle Makers Prize
An optical assistant at Aberdeen’s Black & Lizars has been awarded the Spectacle Makers Prize.
Abbie Skene received the highest marks on an optical support course run by the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers, which included modules on the anatomy of the eye, different spectacle lenses, tests, eye diseases and frame designs.
She won £250 and an invitation to receive the prize at a ceremony in London.
