Wiseman Memorial Prize awarded to Dawid Czolba

Mallon + Taub optical technician Dawid Czolba was recently awarded the annual Wiseman Memorial Prize for achieving the highest marks in the practical examination of the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers Level 4 Diploma for Optical Technicians.

Fourteen students were awarded the qualification and admitted to the Freedom of the Company at Apothecaries’ Hall. An optical technician for several years, Czolba said he was motivated to undertake the course as he always looked to improve himself.

‘The course was an eye opener for me and has given me a much broader perspective. I now have the ability to calculate a single ray of light passing through a lens, such is the level of training.’
