Obituary - Keith Emerson

Keith Emerson, a director of Norville Opticians, has died at the age of 60. A dispensing optician, he had worked for the company for 35 years.

Emerson was born in Cheltenham on March 9, 1949 and worked for a local practice before moving to Stratford-upon-Avon to manage a branch of Dollond and Aitchison.

When Norville acquired a Cirencester practice in 1974, Emerson joined as manager and then eventually became the director of Norville in 1991.

The Norville Group described Emerson as a much respected director of Norville Opticians, well liked by colleagues and customers and will be sadly missed.

The company added that he was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife Jenny, children James and Charlotte and grandson Jack.
