OCL Vision adds new laser technology

OCL Vision introduced the £500,000 SmartSight laser eye surgery procedure in the UK, which speeds up recovery time and reduces dry eye symptoms post-surgery.

Performed by the Schwind ATOS femtosecond laser, the new technology carries out a minimally-invasive flapless keyhole procedure through a process known as refractive lenticule extraction.

Allon Barsam, consultant ophthalmic surgeon and co-founder of OCL Vision, said: ‘Since introducing this new technology, we have noticed that patients feel reassured by having a flapless keyhole procedure, as it’s more efficient and even less invasive than existing methods.
