International eyecare software provider Ocuco has bought the Dutch practice management software company B&F Groep.
The acquisition of B&F, which Ocuco described as the leading PMS supplier in the region, adds the Netherlands to the line-up of companies Ocuco now operates in.
B&F Groep Managing Director Hans Lugtenberg will join Ocuco’s management team and will continue to run B&F. All of the firm’s staff will remain to develop and support the Apollo family of software. Going forward B&F’s 400 customers will also have access to Ocuco’s broader product portfolio.
Lugtenberg said being part of Ocuco would provide B&F with continuity in the long term and allow better product development. ‘Our four developers are now part of a team of 60, and in cooperation with suppliers of lenses, contact lenses, and optical instruments, we are now able to develop interfaces and innovative new products across multiple optical technologies.’
