Olympic sports vision winners announced

The winning team in City & Islington College's sports vision project to provide appliances for hopeful Olympic competitors has been announced.

Final-year dispensing students Sanjay Rabdiya, Khairul Rahman and Ansar Asgar, pictured with cyclist Alex Atkins, presented their cycling goggle before a panel of judges last week.

The prize for the successful group is a trip to Beijing to meet Chinese students, who will be welcomed by City & Islington College on a return visit.

The project was supported by the optical industry and the British Council and was initiated when City & Islington's principal Frank McLoughlin visited Beijing in 2005 as part of the London Beijing World City Links project.
