Swiss watchmaker Omega has revealed plans to release a first collection of sunglasses this summer with multinational frame manufacturer and designer, the Marcolin Group.
Guided by the Marcolin Group’s experience in the designer frame market, Omega CEO, Raynald Aeschlimann, pictured, was counting the seconds until the August unveiling date.
Aeschlimann said: ‘This is an exciting step for Omega because it leads our brand into new areas of creativity. Sharing the project with the Marcolin Group and their background with high-level brands has allowed us to produce some fantastic products.’
Maurizio Marcolin, style and licensing officer at the Marcolin Group, added: ‘We are proud to have been selected as the partner in the debut of Omega’s eyewear category.’
