OO wins optometry prize

Optometrist Sarah Gibson has picked up a regional business prize for adopting the latest technology.

She won the Business Innovation award at the Blackmore Vale Business Awards last month. Recent investments in OCT, vision care scheme Eyeplan and the use of iPads to help dispensing were said to have impressed the judges.

Her practice, Sarah Gibson Optometrists in Somerset, was also commended for specialist services including dry eye assessments, emergency appointments and coloured overlay examinations for patients with reading difficulties.
