Optegra appoints NHS commissioning director

Optegra has appointed Melanie Andrew as its first NHS commissioning director, joining the UK leadership team as the eye hospital group expands its collaboration with the NHS.  

With nearly 25 years of experience in both the independent sector and the NHS, Andrew will focus on strengthening partnerships with NHS Trusts across the UK. 

Andrew noted: ‘For me, it is about working to ensure that patients who need ophthalmic care are able to access the services they are entitled to, with the NHS and the independent sector working as one to achieve a common goal.’
