The Zeiss Quatera 700 cataract surgery machine will 'revolutionise' procedures

Optegra has invested in a Zeiss Quatera 700 cataract surgery machine at its Queen Anne Street clinic in London, which the eye care provider said would revolutionise procedures.

Amir Hamid, ophthalmic surgeon and medical director for Optegra, said: ‘This really is a game-changer in cataract surgery – one of the most common procedures we carry out at Optegra. I have used it already and it will change the way surgeons work by improving safety and efficiency significantly.’

Hamid added that the technology maintained anterior chamber stability during cataract surgery and reduced the possibility of surgical complications.
