Optegra launches London eye hospital

An invited audience congregated in one of London’s most modern buildings last week to learn about the latest addition to the Optegra hospital network. Optician reports

On November 5, from the heady heights of the City of London’s Leadenhall Building,  the CEO of eye hospital group Optegra, Roberto Cirillo, announced the opening of its latest facility, the Optegra Eye Hospital London.

The £13m development has taken two and a half years to complete and becomes Optegra’s seventh UK hospital, and its 23rd across five countries. This represents a significant growth for the group which, as Cirillo pointed out, only started seven years ago. ‘With the ambition of building the leading eye health care group, it took us almost eight years to grow the capabilities and conviction to mobilise such an enormous amount of human and capital resources to build a hospital in the very centre of London, in the heart of its medical district: Harley Street.’
