Optegra opens Colchester eye clinic

Optegra Eye Health Care opened a new clinic in Colchester in February to provide timely cataract and vision correction procedures for patients across Essex.

Richard Armitage, NHS director for Optegra Eye Health Care, said: ‘We are opening clinics in a series of new locations, and Colchester is the first of our new clinic openings in 2024.  We are delighted to be supporting existing ophthalmic services in the area.’

Cllr John Jowers, Mayor of Colchester, who officially opened the clinic, said: ‘With our recent city status and expanding population, it seems fitting that we are increasing our healthcare provision to enable those with cataracts to be treated quickly and in a location that’s convenient to them.’
