Optegra opens York cataract eye clinic

Ophthalmic services provider Optegra has opened a specialist cataract eye clinic in York, which is committed to treating patients within six weeks of referral.

The new Optegra Eye Clinic York, based on the York Business Park, is purely dedicated to NHS cataract patients, in an effort to reduce the long wait lists as a result of the pandemic.

Richard Armitage, NHS Director for Optegra, said: ‘We are eager to support the NHS as ophthalmology is the second largest waiting list for treatment.
