Opticabase acquired by Evex Group

Manchester-based practice management software (PMS) company Opticabase has been acquired by Evex Group to expand its services and capabilities in the UK.  

Opticabase was founded in 2005 by Michael Prais and was used by around 500 optical practices in the UK and Ireland.  

Prais said Opticabase sought investment to develop innovations for its customers and ensure it offered the most up-to-date capability.  

‘This partnership will enable us to offer greater scale, expand our capabilities and integrations, and build a market leading product in the UK.  

‘We very much look forward to this next chapter together with Evex Group,’ Prais said.
