Chris Hunt has been appointed as new chairman of the Optical Confederation – succeeding the organisation’s original leader Don Grocott.
Hunt will take up the position in October, having in the past held a number of executive roles within spectacle manufacturing, diagnostic equipment manufacturing and optical retailing companies.
He said: ‘I feel very honoured to have been appointed as the new chairman of the Optical Confederation. Having served in, and having gained first-hand knowledge of all sectors of both UK and international optics, I am confident that my broad experience can be put to best use in furthering the cause of this excellent concept. I enthusiastically await the challenge.’
