Prime Minister David Cameron made time this week at his party's conference to have a digital fundus photograph taken.
On hand to snap the PM's retina was Katrina Venerus, newly appointed managing director of the Local Optical Support Committee Support Unit and clinical optometrist.
Jenny Gowen of the Optical Confederation said: 'It is great to see the Prime Minister taking his eye health so seriously and making time in his busy schedule to discuss eye health and the prevention of avoidable blindness.'
