
More than 80 clients are suing Optical Express at the High Court over claims that lens replacement surgery left them in severe pain.
The surgery has led to legal claims against Optical Express previously, with the multiple ordered to pay sums of up to £500k to previous complainants.
The Mirror reports that Paul Hogg, a carpenter from Caerphilly, suffers from headaches, double vision and intolerance to light after undergoing the procedure five years ago.
Commenting on Hogg’s situation, Karen Cathcart from Devonshires Solicitors said: ‘Mr Hogg’s situation is not unusual. Our firm represents more than 80 clients with similar problems.’
