New findings have found a high incidence of headaches among children spending prolonged periods of time in front of screens.
More than two fifths of British parents reported such headaches in a study commissioned by Optical Express last month among 2,038 British parents with at least one child aged 16 and under.
A statement by Optical Express urged parents to use the upcoming Christmas holidays as a chance to schedule in an eye test for their children on the back of the ‘worrying statistics’.
Of those people polled, 50 per cent of participants had a child who wore glasses or contact lenses. When questioned about their child’s computer use, two fifths admitted that their child used either a laptop or PC every day.
