Optical support

Eleven runners will compete in this year's Flora London Marathon to raise money for optical charity Fight for Sight.

The runners include Carol Morgan from Dollond & Aitchison, Andy Long from Ciba Vision, Kash Patel from Specsavers, Nancy Black from De Rigo, John Rodda from Bausch & Lomb and David Daniel from the Institute of Ophthamology. Each has pledged to raise at least £1,000 for Fight for Sight.
Kash Patel said: 'Fight for Sight research is helping to identify the causes of AMD and to find treatments that can give people back their independence.'
The charity is seeking volunteers for other fundraising events including the British Open 10km Road Race in July, the Flora Light Women's Challenge 5km Race in September and the Great North Run in October.
