As the new three-year CET cycle begins, Optician has announced another set of CET themes and strands, with accredited articles appearing in every issue over the coming months.
We aim to include series concerning the GOC core competency subjects which, based on feedback, are areas where many practitioners would appreciate some revision. These include a major new series in back to basics dispensing covering all aspects of this area of skill.
We will also run an up-to-date series in contact lens practice, with all the information needed for the newly qualified or those wishing to improve their skills.
Medical subjects to be revisited include cataract, diabetes, macular degeneration and glaucoma. On top of this we aim to include CET relating to the very latest in instrumentation, research related clinical advances and allied subjects such as communication skills.
