A new educational leaflet for patients who suffer from eye allergies has been published by Johnson & Johnson. Released in conjunction with Allergy Awareness week from April 22-28, the guide includes information and advice to patients about reducing their chances of developing problems that could affect their vision and overall health of their eyes, and how to relieve symptoms such as swelling and discomfort. Optometry students from around the country have been invited to apply for CooperVision's annual summer research scholarship. Open to all second-year students, the scholarship was said to offer insight into contact lens research and a £2,000 cash award to conduct their own research projects. 'I would thoroughly recommend the scholarship to optometry students with an interest in research, it's an eye opening opportunity and provides invaluable career experience,' said last year's winner Michelle Snowball of Caledonian University.
