Optrafair

FODO has set up a panel of experts for a forum at this year's Optrafair. Sessions on regulations, contract matters, professional liability and defence were scheduled for FODO Fringe, on the Saturday and Sunday of the exhibition. FODO chief executive David Hewlett said: 'There will be no speeches, no PowerPoint, no presentations just big issues and hard hitting advice. The floor will be open and the agenda will be for those at Optrafair to decide what is debated.'

Menrad Optics has announced the launch of a new business-to-business web shop for optical practices to purchase frames online. Menrad managing director Chris Beal said: 'While Menrad recognises that a brand needs enough of a presence in store to allow it to shine, there are no minimum order quantities and order fulfilment happens from a UK warehouse facility meaning a quicker turn around.'
