Tom Davies has taken up the role of guest creative director at new exhibition The Eye Show. Davies will have a significant presence at the event, from February 12-14 at London's ExCeL Exhibition and Conference Centre, with a large stand and 'Design Studio' feature area. He said: 'I was very excited about a London-based show and once I'd signed up, I couldn't help offering ideas for features and promotions during the show. I'm delighted and honoured to be formally asked for ideas and the past few days have been really exciting.'

Nominations for the College Council have been requested by the College of Optometrists. The Council is responsible for the professional and strategic direction of the College, with members engaging in local meetings together with College committees and working groups. 'If you are keen to have a say in the work and development of the College, please consider standing for election to Council,' said College chief executive Bryony Pawinska. There were 12 positions available across nine regions and the deadline for nominations is November 16.
