Optician news in brief

AOP members have been invited to complete a survey on how the organisation is performing. The aim of the research, conducted via email, is to measure perceptions of the AOP and find out how it can support members better during their careers. AOP chief executive Henrietta Alderman said: ‘The survey will help us to understand the issues that our members face, how they feel about the support that the AOP provides currently and what they would like from us in the future.’

Registration has opened for the BCLA’s scientific evening meeting in London next month. Andrena McElvanney, consultant ophthalmic surgeon and former BCLA Council member, will present a one-hour lecture on challenging cases of ocular surface disease at the January 27 event. Members can register online and will be able to bring along one non-member guest.
