Europe's photochromic lens market will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 5 per cent from 2010-2017, GBI Research has forecast in a new report. The market value is expected to grow from $997.8m in 2010 to $1389.1m in 2017. GBI Research said an expanding patient base and technological advances would drive the growth. Development of task specific photochromic lenses and more direct-to-consumer advertising campaigns were also predicted to increase public awareness.
