Optrafair

Optician has created a suite of webpages that will support Optrafair before, during and after the show.

For the first time visitors to the show will be able to browse a mobile Optrafair website desiged for iPads and smartphones. The Optician editorial team will be blogging live from the event, keeping visitors updated on all of the announcements and presentations being made and other nuggets they uncover. The National Exhibition Centre has confirmed to Optician that WiFi will be available in all of the Optrafair halls during the event.

In the run up to the show the website will be used to highlight product launches, events and other exhibitor activity. The live blog will update users during the event and Optician's post event coverage will be uploaded to the site after the event has closed.

Mobile users at Optrafair will be able to receive live updates to the site's Big Optrafair Blog which will be updated regularly throughout the show with words, images and video from around the halls. The site will also include an electronic version of the Optrafair Show Guide which will allow visitors to browse the floorplans and see what the exhibitors have on offer. A hard copy of the Guide will be distributed to all Optician subscribers along with the March 22 issue.

To access the Optrafair page, before, during or after the show, follow the links from the homepage of www.opticianonline.net. If you are using a tablet computer, such as an iPad, or a smartphone, the website will automatically connect you to the mobile enabled page.
