Optician has teamed up with the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians to stage next year's fashion-led Optrafair London which will take place at Olympia in April (News 29.03.13).
The inaugural show, tag lined Optrafair London - brought to you by the FMO and Optician, will be held in the heart of the capital at Olympia Central from April 11-13. The London event will run in alternate years to the main Optrafair event in Birmingham which takes place next week (April 13-15).
The FMO announced plans to stage a London exhibition following the failure of The Eye Show earlier this year (News 22.02.13). Since then it has been in discussion with potential partners to stage the event. FMO chief executive Malcolm Polley said Optrafair London would be the first time Optician and the FMO had worked together and would give optical professionals the chance to see the latest advances in eye care, products and services on an annual basis.
