CooperVision has launched a new scheme to help small to medium-sized practices retain patients by offering a 'unique' contact lens brand.
Options by CooperVision offers a range of lenses only available to independents, which it said 'means their patients will continue to come back to them rather than buying from larger chains, multiples or supermarkets which are all able to supply the large consumer brands'.
CooperVision's marketing manager James Fenn said: 'Options enables independent practitioners to supply a brand which will protect them from having to fit the same mainstream consumer brands as their larger competitors. By doing so, they will avoid entering into a price war on these products and are more likely to retain their patients. CooperVision also offers free promotional materials to support Options, so practitioners can promote it as their own unique brand.'
The range comprises Options One Day daily disposable, Options UV, a budget monthly disposable contact lens, Options Comfort+, a premium monthly disposable lens, Options Toric and Options Multi solution. The latter is described as a new advanced 'no rub' solution, compatible with all silicone hydrogel lenses.
