A General Optical Council fitness to practise committee has told locum optometrist Honey Rose that she can practice again after it lifted an interim suspension and imposed a conditional registration order.
Rose was suspended for 18 months in March 2013 after a committee alleged that she failed to notice abnormalities in a patient’s eye. The meeting was held in private and full details were not revealed due to an on-going police investigation.
At the registrant’s fourth review hearing, the committee heard that the police investigation had not advanced significantly and that Rose had undertaken a number of courses and attended the neuro-ophthalmology clinic at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
