A fitness to practice committee of the General Optical Council meeting on June 15 will review the interim suspension order placed on optometrist Matthew Clemitson on December 16, 2008.
Clemitson received a suspension of his registration for a period of 18 months after admitting to theft from the practice in which he worked over a period of time. Transactions totaling £648.16 were discovered missing from the practice in which Clemitson worked, while money was discovered to have gone missing from the practice's charity boxes.
