Haine & Smith partner and optometrist Keith Bottomley has decided to retire from the Wiltshire-based optical firm after a career in optics spanning over 40 years. Keith, who qualified as an Optometrist at Cardiff University in 1974 and became a partner of Haine & Smith seven years later, was credited for gaining ‘a very loyal following’ over the years.
His final appointments before leaving two weeks ago were fully booked out weeks in advance, Haine & Smith said. He now looked forward to spending more time with his young grandchildren and pursuing interests including antique prints and book-binding.
