Optometrist tops search rankings

Electrical components company RS Components has released a map that details the most searched for Stem profession in countries around the world.

RS Components used Google’s Keyword Planner to establish the monthly search volume for nearly 100 different Stem fields in countries across the world. Two search terms were included; the name of the role and the name of the role followed by the word ‘job’.

In many countries, ‘optometrist’ was the most searched for term, topping the board in Canada, Guyana, South Africa, the Netherlands, Estonia, Australia and New Zealand, among
others.
