Rahman, who manages two independent optician practices in Manchester with five staff members, was crowned this year’s Manchester Executive MBA Challenge winner.

Having competed in a series of challenges during the summer to test his leadership and management potential, Rahman now planned to use knowledge from the course in his role at You and Eye Opticians in Rusholme and Burnage, Manchester.

‘It’s been an amazing journey on the Manchester Executive MBA Challenge and now I can’t wait to get started in October,’ he said. ‘I’ve already adopted some of the business principles with my staff and hope to use the skills I will gain to open a school of optometry in Bangladesh.’
