A shortlist of entrants to the competition organised by Novartis and Alcon as part of its annual Excellence in Opthalmology event featured two optometrists.
The award is aimed at recognising those who have participated in any project that best utilises primary care skills to improve the patient pathway and use of resources.
Shortlisted finalists included hospital consultant optometrist David Sculfor, community optometrist Niall O’Kane, Adam Mapani, ophthalmic nurse specialist, and Paul Chapman, specialist medical photographer.
