Optometrist raises £3,500 with trek on the Great Wall of China

Optometrist Nigel Robinson has raised £3,500 for Fight for Sight by walking a 90km section of the Great Wall of China.
Robinson runs N&J Opticians in Monkseaton, Tyne and Wear, with his optometrist wife Judith.
'It was the experience of a lifetime,' he said. 'We trekked for 120km through some of the most fantastic mountain scenery you're likely to see anywhere. Some of the accommodation was very basic but in superb locations but comradeship among all participants made any small hardships irrelevant.
'I am very grateful to everyone who has supported me through this very generous sponsorship, both through patients and the industry and of course Judith who held the fort while I was away.'
