The second World Conference on Optometric Globalisation will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre in London from April 11-13 2008.
The three-day event, which is hosted by the World Council of Optometry (WCO) and the European Council for Optometry in conjunction with the College of Optometrists, will feature a host of international speakers including senior representatives from other global bodies.
The conference will aim to address the political, humanitarian and commercial aspects of the development of effective delivery care systems that can improve visual health globally.
The programme will include a session on the impact of the 'Vision 2020: The Right to Sight' policy and the challenges of globalisation and public health.
