Following its AGM last week, Optometry Scotland has appointed Sam Watson (right) as its new chair and David Bonellie (left) as new vice-chair.
Watson, a Boots optometrist, held the position of vice-chair for two years and replaces Peter Carson.
On her appointment, Watson said: 'I am delighted to be the new chair of Optometry Scotland and taking the profession to the next level with the team. It is a challenge I eagerly anticipate.'
New vice-chair David Bonellie said: 'I am flattered to be in this position. It allows me to be able to put something back into a profession that has been very successful.'
